About Our Teachers

You have to love children to work at the Academy of Stars! All of our teachers have taken courses in early childhood education or have worked with children in the past. All teachers go through a screening process which includes a background check. We also support our teachers that are continuing their education. All teachers must keep current in continuing education courses and seminars. We provide First Aid and CPR training to our teachers and use the Creative Curriculum in our early childhood program. Teachers are free to expand and develop specific lesson plans to promote skills in early literacy, math, science and social emotional development. Our goal is for each day to be an adventure of learning and curiosity.

Our teachers are an important part of Lake Barrington Academy of Stars. We are a tight knit family and all help your child to shine.
